The Ministry of Tourism made the first Ecotourism Fair in Las Galeras

To link the municipality to plan for Sustainable Tourism Development

BREAKING NEWS : Las Galeras.- The Tourism Ministry (SECTUR) and Youth Development in Las Galeras (JUDEGA), have made the first Ecotourism Fair, with the aim of linking this community to plan for Sustainable Tourism Development.

In this regard, Tourism Under-Minister for International Affairs, Luis Simo, has stated that the activity seeks to involve society in the direct benefits of tourism by providing the tools necessary for residents to work in tourist areas not only as employees of the hotel facilities, but also that they can identify items to offer to tourists, without the need to import or bring them from elsewhere.

The concentrated activity hundreds of tourists, hotels, governmental authorities, the main asset of this area, the people. All gathered at the beach of Las Galeras, to support the work done by the natives and enjoy the arts and recreational activities that accompanied the exhibition of crafts, food, art and folklore.

This is the result of work done by Tourism Minister Francisco Javier Garcia has expressed. He said that in addition to the craft classes, cooking classes and other technical disciplines offered at the vocational school for hotel maintenance, work on creating a permanent school of painting.

Simo has reported that the Tourism Ministry is working on creating more tourist guides, specializing in personal computing system, for which the vocational school has 19 computers.
