Students in contact with the marine resourcesThree days on Frontón Beach

BREAKING NEWS: The Dominican Republic Reef Check foundation, organization devoted to the conservation of the coral reefs, accompanied two groups of students for diving in the hot sea which surrounds us in order to know the marine resources of our country in the North and East zones.

The Association of the Hotels of Bayahíbe - La Romana, in coordination with the aforementioned foundation, set up a two day camp full of activities conceived to make known the sea to the children. This through talks, videos, experiences and by entering in contact with the nature itself.

In Samana, Reef Check combined its efforts with the Duolos Discovery School of Jarabacoa to take along the students on the Frontón Beach, where they lived a unique experience and a direct contact with the coral reefs.

The students camped during 3 days on this beautiful wild beach which is very close to Las Galeras, Samana.

This event had the support of the Hotels Association La Romana-Bayahibe, of the Peace Body of the United States, the Lilas Shop, the National Aquarium of Santo Domingo, the Dominican Foundation for the Research and the Conservation of the Marine Resources (MAMMA), the Dolphins’ Friends Foundation of Bayahíbe and of the Oasis Canoa Hotel.
