The Ministry of Tourism keeps the beaches clean

Beach Cap CanaCleaning and Reorganization Plan of Public Beaches

BREAKING NEWS : The Ministry of Tourism (Sectur), in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, municipalities and organizations of civil society are involved in the maintenance of 47 beaches, situated on the main tourist places of the country.

This action is part of the Plan of Reorganization and Cleanliness of Public Beaches developed by Sectur, with funding the Committee on Infrastructure Executor of the Tourist Zones (Ceiztur).

With this action, we seek to have clean beaches and through their application status, call the Dominicans and foreign visitors to enjoy their natural beauty, said Francisco Javier García, Minister of Tourism.

During the year of clean beaches management, interventions were made on the beaches of Andrés and Boca Chica, Santo Domingo; Embassy Caribe, Guayacanes and Juan Dolio , San Pedro de Macoris, Macao and Bayahibe, La Altagracia, and Las Galeras, Punta Popy, Pueblo Pescadores, Las Ballenas, in Samaná.

Not to mention Los Yayales, Poza de Bojolo, Los Gringos, Matanzas, Matancita in Nagua, La Entrada, Breton, Caletón, Diamante, Playa Grande, Los Mina Los Muertos and Los Guardia, in Río San Juan Playa Magande to Gaspare Hernández, Long Beach, Puerto Plata.

Playa Grande, Playa Chiquita andLa Tuyain Luperon, Playa La Isabela La Isabela, Punta Rusia, Punta Rusia; Playa Buen Hombre, in Villa Vasquez, Costa Verde and El Morro in Monte Cristi, Boca de Nigua, Najayo, Caracoles y Playa Chiquita Playa Linda, San Cristóbal; Salinas, Bani; Playa Nizao in Nizao; Palmar de Ocoa in Azua, Playa El Cayo, Litoral dela Ciudad, Saladilla El Quemaito, San Rafael and Los Patos in Barahona, Bahia de las Águilas and Playa dela Ciudadat Pedernales, and El Salto de Aguas Blancas, Constanza.

For maintenance and care of these environments, the Tourism Ministry ordered one staff that is responsible for monitoring the cleaning of beaches so that these environments are always kept clean throughout the years.

Today, logistics evaluations are developed in order to include the cleaning of the beaches of Miches, La Romana, Manzanillo, Pepillo Salcedo and Enriquillo Lake Circuit.
